As I've posted before, I have a soft spot for the "bad good" girl or the "good bad" girl. She was loud and bossy and reckless, but I think she was such a flirt (even with Badger- I mean Wolverine!) because she has no constant male figures in her life. (Well, now she has the Brotherhood. Oi.) True, a screwed up upbringing is no excuse for using others, but I think she actually DID like Kurt, he was just too innocent for her. He's so coercible! She just seems to be a little thoughtless, not mean. Sure, there was the excessive use of powers, but I think that's supposed to reflect her personality. A sober teenage mutant Courtney Love comes to mind.........
I don't think that the new characters will push the others out of the spotlight. At least not all the time. But I do think that there will be more episodes with a little character development for the new kids. An introductory episode, if you will, so we'd know why Boom Boom was calling Kurt "Wild Blue Yonder Boy", and flirting with him while the Brotherhood (what about the sorority, damnit?)is getting into a scrape with the X-Men.
The Boardinghouse is just as I pictured it to be too, Fasheem. At least now you have somebody to hate more than like-oh-my-god-Valley-Kitty!
Nightcrawler gets knocked out because his power is too useful? That makes sense. The writers are just lazy. They could think of some other reason why he couldn't teleport the whole team to safety. They could write in Sienna Blaze (I know, just one blonde psycho after another!), who if I remember correctly disrupts his power when she uses hers. He doesn't always have to get knocked out.
All Quicksilver does is run fast. I know it's useful, but if you got one good shot in, he'd be as unconscious as scrawny little Kurt!

Ach! I didn't mean to say that I hated the character of Boom, I just didn't agree with it...strongly (but then than could just be me being "stingy" http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/tongue.gif ). That's all. I did like: the humor and NC.
